A New Presiding Bishop Elected
On Saturday, June 27th Bishop Michael B. Curry was elected to be the next Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church. Bishop Curry is an inspirational preacher, evangelist, and social justice advocate and is the first African American to be elected to this position. “The truth is we are brothers and sisters of each other,” Curry said. “The hard work is to figure out how we live as a beloved community, as the human family of God.” Here are some links to see more: Episcopal News Service, Huffington, Religious News Service.
