Community Housing Project
The Community Housing Project was designed to provide homeless families with up to two years of affordable "transitional" housing. It includes mentoring, financial counseling, and life skills training, in order to help families overcome the obstacles to more permanent living arrangements. Mental health and substance abuse counseling are also available as needed.
Locally, the program is administered by Good Samaritan Ministries and Community Action House. Grace is one of several participating churches in the Holland area. A 4-bedroom house on 24th St., just south of the church building has been dedicated for this use. Parishioners offer mentoring and other types of assistance to the resident family.
Contact the church office for more information on this program.
